How to care for scars?
- Apply silicone scar products to a clean and dry scar, never use on open or wet wounds
- Cover the scar completely with a thin layer of gel or with a sheet
- Remove the sheet every 8-12 hours, wash the sheet and the scar with warm water and mild soap, allow to dry and reapply the sheet
- To achieve the best results, use the products regularly and on a long-term basis
- The recommended period of use is a minimum of 1 month
LIPOELASTIC sheets
To provide a complete scar treatment, we have included self-adhesive silicone patches, the LIPOELASTIC sheets. The sheets are suitable to treat new and old scars. After applying the patch to the scar, the skin becomes stabilised and hydrated, which improves its ability to regenerate. Silicone patches can be trimmed to size as required.
Scar treatment after breast surgery
Special-shaped silicone patches can be used for scar treatment in the chest and breast areas. They are suitable for breast augmentation, reduction, reconstruction, or mastopexy.
Scar treatment after abdominal surgery and C-section delivery
Special-shaped silicone patches are designed to be used for scar treatment on the abdomen. The sheets are suitable for procedures such as abdominoplasty and C-section delivery.
Eliminate scarring with silicone-based products
Our skin has many important functions. When it is damaged, it forms scars as a natural healing process. Surgeries, injuries, or burns may all cause scarring. By choosing the right scar treatment, you can significantly control the visibility of your scars. 100% silicone-based products are clinically proven to effectively treat scars.
Scar treatment as a part of post-operative care
Scar treatment should be an integral part of plastic surgery aftercare. Did you know that silicone-based products can help control the appearance of your scars?
Always use the products on a healed, dry wound, at least 3 days after removing the stitches.
Silicone-based products are recommended after a facelift, thyroid surgery, laparoscopy, abdominoplasty, C-section delivery, breast augmentation, liposuction, and other cosmetic procedures. They are also effective on scars after tattoos, piercings, and burns.
Keloid and hypertrophic scars - do you know the difference?
Keloid and hypertrophic scars are caused by an injury or surgery. They are plastic, darker than surrounding healthy skin, and can often be itchy and painful.
Silicone - a modern way of scar treatment
Scars need optimal moisture balance and sufficient oxygen supply to heal. A thin layer of silicone completely covers the scar area and provides hydration and oxygen.
Even though the wound is covered, silicone allows it to breathe and release excess moisture. Hydrated and oxygenated skin allows the scar tissue to blend with the surrounding healthy tissue and helps soften and flatten the scar and reduce any discolouration.
Silicone scar treatment is available in various forms (patches and gels).
